Jr. High Art
The fine arts program offers students comprehensive art experiences with detailed explorations in the classics such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, graphic design, photography and crafts. In addition to gaining confidence and proficiency working with a variety of mediums, students will learn about the history, appreciation, design concepts, analysis and interpretation of art.

Assignment 1: Line, Value & Texture

Assignment 3: Still Life
Students will complete worksheets on one point and two point perspective while guided on the whiteboard. After learning the basics, students will then draw their name in perspective and color it with colored pencils.

Students will view a slideshow and discuss the period, purpose and artists of the Pop Art movement. Students will transfer and paint their self-portrait to illustration board and paint with tempera in chosen color scheme. Students will also explore the screen printing technique and create a digital self-portrait as well.
Assignment 6: Stop Motion
Students will be given a worksheet and view a slide show on the history and application of photography in motion pictures. They will work in groups to create a storyboard of their movie idea. They will use Ipads to take photos and then compile them in IMovie on the IPads and add music.
